Position Overview: The Telecom Construction Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications systems and infrastructure. This includes working with fiber optic cables, conduits, poles, and other telecommunications equipment. The technician will ensure all work is completed per industry standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment and infrastructure, including fiber optic cables, conduits, and poles.
- Perform aerial and underground construction tasks, including trenching, digging, and pole setting.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and maps to determine work requirements.
- Splice and terminate fiber optic cables using various techniques and tools.
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance.
